Slank have already sold more than 15 million records in their Indonesian homeland, and It's time this band take over America. they have a sound that would appeal to any fan of pop rock, the songs are well written, with catchy hooks, and great melodies. "Anthem For The Broken Hearted" was produced by guitarist Blues Saraceno, which helped make the guitar playing of Abdee Negara, and Mohammad Ridwan Hafiedz shine throughout this release. vocalist Akhadi Wira Satriaji has a raspy rough voice that mixes in very well with the tone of the songs. and bassist Ivan Kurniawan, and drummer Bimo Setiawan Almachzumi are the backbone of this great band. I normally point out a few standout songs on each CD I review, but I can listen to this entire release without skipping any songs. my favorites though are "Devilinu" "I Miss U But I Hate U" "Love Cursed" "Virus" and "Wake Up Tonight" It amazes me on how this band hasn't broken in America yet.
